Millions of miles of new fiber are being installed across the United States and around the world. Thousands of new technicians are needed to test and terminate these new networks.
Texas State Technical College has partnered with The Fiber School to provide students with the opportunity to learn how to become certified fiber optic installers.
The course provides access to on-line self-paced lectures that will provide an overview of how fiber optic networks work, their components and specifications.
The course also provides instructor-led, hands-on labs that replicate the specific work that is required in the field.
