Certification Courses A relevant and guided learning experience that combines lecture and practice labs to deliver what you need to know about a Fiber Optic product or technology. Classroom:

How-to Workshops A hands-on learning experience that is based on real-world scenarios where students can learn about fiber optic products in a safe and collaborative environment. Classroom:

Clinic A detailed how-to presentation of technical information about an existing or a new fiber optic product or technology that describes the features and functionality of products and showcases product demonstrations and solutions. Classroom:

Stand-alone Hands-on Labs (HOL) A collection of labs that offer fiber optic professionals hands-on experience with an existing or new fiber optic product or technology. Hands-on labs provide a realistic and safe environment to encourage knowledge transfer by learning through doing. The labs that are provided are completely prescriptive so that no lab answer keys are required. There is very little lecture or text content that is provided in hands-on labs, except for lab introductions, context setting, and lab reviews. Classroom:

Certified Fiber Optic Installer Training for Correctional Institutions This certified fiber optic installer training course is designed for those who layout, install or maintain fiber optic cabling systems. It identifies you as an installer able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of fiber optic theory, codes, standards and practices widely accepted in the fiber optics industry. In addition, this training incorporates two days of individual hands-on training validating installer skills, including fiber terminations, cable preparations, fusion splicing, OTDR and optical loss testing.  These skills are applicable to all the requirements to safely and competently install, maintain, and test fiber optic cabling systems. Certified Low Voltage Training for Correctional Institutions The Low Voltage / Premise Wiring Systems Installer training is designed for those who design, install or maintain copper and fiber optic systems in commercial buildings and outer facilities. It identifies you as an installer who demonstrates a practical knowledge of the copper and fiber optic theories, codes, standards and practices widely accepted in commercial buildings and customer-owned outside plants (campus environments). Classroom:
32– 120 hours
Certified Wireless Network Installer Training for Correctional Institutions Wireless Network Fundamentals course is designed to give students a firm understanding of radio frequency theory, 802.11 standards, WLAN topologies, basic antenna theory and an introduction to WLAN security. Hands-on access point and client adapter labs provide attendees with experience setting up and securing a wireless LAN. Presentation material will explore WLAN applications in specific markets, WLAN topologies and design concerns, essential equipment, AP configuration, and site survey techniques. Classroom:
