The following knowledge (or commensurate experience) is recommended:
- 3-5 years fiber optic installation experience or equivalent
- Prior knowledge of basic testing equipment and procedures
- A certification as a Technician or Master in Splicing (desired)
- A certification as a Fiber Optic Technician (TC-FOT) or other industry certification
