Fiber Splicer Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. This position is responsible for ensuring that all splicing operations are performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. The supervisor will lead a team of fiber splicers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with other departments and stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution. Ultimately, the Fiber Splicer Supervisor is key to delivering reliable and high-performance fiber optic services to clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in fiber optic splicing and installation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of fiber optic technology and industry standards.
The ability to comprehend and interpret multiple types of fiber networks, FTTH, HFC, etc.
The ability to use iOLM and real-time OTDR to their full capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a related field.
Certification in fiber optic splicing or related technologies.
Experience with project management software and tools
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage a team of fiber splicers, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform their tasks effectively.
Plan and schedule daily work assignments, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Conduct quality control inspections on splicing work to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Collaborate with project managers and other departments to coordinate fiber optic installations and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress for reporting purposes.
