Ray Williams is a seasoned telecommunications expert with over three decades of experience in copper splicing and underground air pressure systems of copper cable infrastructure, alongside 15 years in fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting. Beginning his career in 1991, Ray honed his skills as a journeyman copper splicer and worked extensively with major industry players, including Qwest Communications and Cox Communications, where he served as both a technician and team leader. His work has involved maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing networks for leading providers such as AT&T, Sprint, CenturyLink, Spectrum, Verizon, and Crown Castle. Known for his commitment to excellence, Ray has also been a key first responder for storm restoration, deploying his expertise in challenging conditions across storm-impacted regions in Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Iowa, and Guam to restore essential communication networks.
In 2016, Ray launched NINE MICRON LLC in El Paso, TX, focusing on emergency telecommunications restoration. As the owner and operator, he provides immediate response and expert restoration services for damaged telecommunications infrastructure following severe weather events. Ray’s role includes coordinating logistics and resources, managing on-the-ground teams, and ensuring real-time communication with stakeholders to prioritize swift recovery and safety. His background in both copper and fiber optics allows him to develop and execute effective emergency response plans, meeting complex challenges with resilience and problem-solving skills.
