Showcase your cutting-edge technical skills, and receive your professional TFS certification as a Fiber Optic Technician!
The Fiber Optic Technician (TR-FOT) training is the second level of our Fiber Optic Installer certification training. It builds upon the Fiber Optic Installer (TR-CFI) training and is designed to provide a real-life experience with solid classroom instruction using various labs and practical exercises designed around advanced installation, and testing techniques and procedures of inside and outside plant fiber networks.
Fiber Optic Technician (FOT) certification identifies you as a technician who understands the advanced concepts applicable to the functions required to safely and competently install, test and manage fiber optic communications cabling. FOT training is a perfect compliment for experienced inside/outside plant fiber optic installers. Featured are technician level hands-on splicing and testing labs demonstrating advanced procedures and techniques. Students work with test equipment from several different manufacturers.
With advanced training in areas unique to the special requirements of individual products or systems designs, the fiber optic technician should become a profitable and efficient part of the workforce.
Students must pass exam to be certified.
