Lightwave Conference in Austin, Texas

Now that all the hustle and bustle has settled and we are back into a routine, we want to thank everyone who came out to the Lightwave Optical Innovation Summit in Austin, Texas last week. Rick Carminati and Koda Williamson, of FiberOptic.com, and Tom DePaolantonio, president of Precision Rated Optics, demonstrated various kinds of equipment, and talked about the new and upcoming technology in the fiber optic world. With 40 and 100 Gig (and it’s escalating more and more all the time) our need for fast and efficient OTDRs is steadily increasing. Fiber optic networks are on the incline, and they will be for quite a long time. It’s our duty to provide you with the best equipment and training to get the job done, and to stay up to speed with the growing industry. Even today, there are new ways of splicing fiber, and so much has changed in the field just over the past few years.

We are always happy to talk your ear off about how much we love fiber optics and improving technology, and of course it was great to be surrounded at the Lightwave show by like-minds who are paving the way for the fiber optic future. We saw some familiar faces from Fujitsu, JDSU, The Light Brigade and The Fiber Optic Center to name a few. Huge thanks go out to Lightwave Online for organizing the event, and to everyone who participated!

We will be drawing the winner of the 10% OFF training by the Fiber School next week. The lucky winner will receive an email notification with instructions on claiming their prize.
