JOB SUMMARY<\/strong>
\nWe are\u00a0seeking\u00a0a skilled and customer-focused\u00a0Technician I, Field Ops-\u00a0Residential\u00a0to\u00a0join our team at Ezee Fiber. In this role, you will\u00a0be responsible for\u00a0installing and activating fiber services at customer premises, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. This is a position that is ideal for individuals eager to grow their technical skills in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<\/strong>
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Install fiber services at customer homes, including termination, splicing, and testing.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Install, configure, and troubleshoot Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Manage work orders independently, meet SLAs, and document job details.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Perform splicing and identify faults using fiber loss testing.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Maintain inventory of tools and fiber components.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Provide professional service and educate customers on fiber technology.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Follow safety protocols and company policies during all field operations.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong>
\nEducation and Experience requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in fiber optics are a plus. Minimum of six (6) months to two (2) years of experience or training in fiber splicing and troubleshooting.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Basic understanding of fiber optic systems and customer premise equipment.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Valid driver\u2019s license and clean driving record.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and on call as needed.<\/p>\n

The associate must\u00a0frequently\u00a0move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.<\/p>\n

\nThe physical requirements described here and representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.\u00a0\u00a0While performing the duties of the job, the associate is\u00a0required\u00a0on a daily basis\u00a0to work outdoors in\u00a0various\u00a0weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold,\u00a0rain\u00a0or wind.\u00a0\u00a0Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time. Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds as needed. Tolerate exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and uneven or slippery surfaces. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) during all applicable tasks.<\/p>\n

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS<\/strong>
\nStandard daily travel to assigned territories is\u00a0required\u00a0for this position (up to 30% of the time within a 10-mile radius)<\/p>\n
