ADB is seeking a Laborer to provide entry level outside plant (OSP) installation support on various sized and scope utility construction project sites. This is a great position for anyone looking to get into the utility construction space within the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality centric, have a complete buy-in to safety, with a strong work ethic, and\u00a0ALL IN\u00a0attitude to achieve results.<\/p>\n
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Performs general manual strenuous laborer within all weather conditions that includes but is not limited to hand digging, installing utilities, moving material, inspecting ground conditions, ensuring traffic control, etc.
\nSupports crew with jobsite setup and closeout tasks that could include; loading and unloading trucks, taking photos, setting up cones and traffic signs, prepping equipment, etc.
\nBasic level equipment operations that could include operating directional drill, mini excavator, hydro truck, etc. with constant guidance from an experienced operator
\nConsistently meets production expectations set by experienced Laborer, Foreman, and\/or members of management
\nTakes initiative and is actively engaged in training alongside experience Laborers and Operators learning installations, print reading, equipment operations, etc.
\nBasic ability to read prints and construction drawings
\nGeneral understanding and comfortability of safety risks while working in a safety sensitive position
\nEnsures company and customer property cleanliness and quality standards are met within the expectations set by experienced Laborer, Foreman, and\/or members of management
\nSafety is the expectation; complete buy-in and adherence to the safety culture and expectations by actively participating in pre-task, good catch and safety assessment standards within the organization
\nPerforms other position duties when requested

\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:<\/p>\n
Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
\nMay be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite
\nThis is a safety sensitive position; when working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.
\nEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:<\/p>\n
1 year of experience preferred but willing to train and invest in the right candidate
\nProven experience working in a manual laborer environment in outside weather conditions strongly preferred
\nValid driver\u2019s license with the ability to drive a company vehicle strongly preferred
\nClass A CDL License strongly preferred
