Tremayne “Trey” Townes

Trey Townes is a seasoned telecommunications expert with over thirty years of experience in fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.

He began his career in college, working in field operations digging 3×3 utility holes for the telephone company. In 1997, he committed fully to the communications industry, developing technical expertise in radio, telephone, satellite, and cable systems. From 2004 to 2008, Tremayne advanced into management, leading multiple crews performing nationwide triple-play (Internet, Phone, Television) installations. His leadership ensured consistent quality, safety, and on time project delivery. Between 2008 and 2015, he specialized in outside plant (OSP) operations, including copper and fiber splicing, major trunk line locating, and restoration work. During this period, he successfully managed and resolved outages for major providers such as AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, and other large-scale communication networks. From 2015 to the present, Tremayne has focused exclusively on fiber-optic splicing,

Trey has honed his skills as a journeyman fiber splicer and worked extensively with major industry players, where he served as both a technician and team leader.

Trey is known for his commitment to excellence, Trey has also been a key first responder for storm restoration, deploying his expertise in challenging conditions across storm-impacted regions to restore essential communication networks.
