Product Description Length
Course A relevant and guided learning experience that combines lecture and practice to deliver what you need to know about a Fiber Optic product or technology. Classroom:
3–5 days
E-Learning:
15–25 hours
Distance Learning:
4-10 sessions over 2-5 weeks
Workshop A hands-on learning experience that is based on real-world scenarios where students can learn about fiber optic products in a safe and collaborative environment. Classroom:
2–3 days
E-Learning:
10–15 hours
Clinic A detailed how-to presentation of technical information about an existing or a new fiber optic product or technology that describes the features and functionality of products and showcases product demonstrations and solutions. Classroom:
Up to 1 day
E-Learning:
2–4 hours
Stand-alone Hands-on Labs (HOL) A collection of labs that offer fiber optic professionals hands-on experience with an existing or new fiber optic product or technology. Hands-on labs provide a realistic and safe environment to encourage knowledge transfer by learning through doing. The labs that are provided are completely prescriptive so that no lab answer keys are required. There is very little lecture or text content that is provided in hands-on labs, except for lab introductions, context setting, and lab reviews. Classroom:
Up to 1 day
E-Learning:
2–6 hours
First Look Clinic A collection of products that are designed specifically to deliver early content or critical information that product groups or other internal customers need communicated to them quickly and broadly. The First Look products explain knowledge-based (not skills-based) information to an audience profile that is identified as high-level Business Decision Makers. Classroom:
